Morning Pixels: London Fletcher is intense

One of my favorite parts of football is the sound of the NFL. The hits, the grunts, the yelling — it’s the best. Every week, the league mics up a player for a game and gives us an inside look into how they get through four quarters of action.

This week is was London Fletcher’s turn, and Redskins Blog has the compilation of his sound bites from Monday night, including the yelling and the grunts, and at least one instance of Fletcher calling someone a chump. Watching it can only lead to one logical conclusion: London Fletcher is intense.

I can’t embed it here, but it’s worth the trip over to the team blog to check it out.

BECAUSE YOU DON’T READ THE PAPER

* There was hockey in D.C. last night. It just wasn’t Caps hockey.

* Ernie Grunfeld is looking at the Wizards’ “big picture.”

* Mike Wise revisits the silly feud between the Georgetown and Maryland athletics departments.

* The Redskins have some holes to fill in the defensive backfield.

QUOTE OF THE NIGHT

DeAngelo Hall, on the instability in the Redskins secondary:

“The train is going to keep going. We’ll throw guys off. We’ll pick guys up. Some guys will jump off. But we’ll keep moving. It’s the nature of the business.”

PICTURE OF THE DAY

AHL mascots on an elevator. That dog is staring down that bear something fierce.
