Ahmad Bradshaw may miss Giants’ game against Falcons

The knee sprain that running back Ahmad Bradshaw suffered may force him to miss the New York Giants’ game against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. Not that Coach Tom Coughlin was giving anything away, mind you.

Bradshaw, who was hurt in the Giants’ 52-27 mauling of the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, had only 11 carries for 33 yards and David Wilson, a rookie out of Virginia Tech, stepped up, rushing for 100 yards and two touchdowns — including one on a 52-yard scamper. He also had 227 yards on four kickoff returns, including a 97-yarder for a TD.”I am not going to rule him out of anything. I am not going to talk about the percentages or anything like that. You can speculate on that knowing full well what the injury is.”

He’ll get his first start if Bradshaw can’t go — but that’s a big “if.”

“The other day when he did injure the knee [against the Saints], he got it taped and went back in and had three straight short-yardage runs in a row to make a key first down,” Coughlin said. “No one even knew what was going on there. He told me he had no limitations. He is a tough son of a gun. I say that with admiration.”
