Tiger Woods loses ground after front nine at Masters

A light rain is making it difficult to gauge the speed of the greens at Augusta National, and with bogeys at No. 5 and 7, Tiger Woods is going in the wrong direction as he attempts to win his fifth Masters.

A birdie at No. 9 got Woods back to 2 under through nine holes, but he trails leader Angel Cabrera by seven shots.

Nike founder Phil Knight, Woods’s mother and girlfriend Lindsey Vonn, all decked out in red, are all offering onsite support.
