After a tremendous run of afternoon games marked by late comebacks and last-minute heroics, the evening slate has been filled with snoozers, and Baylor’s dominating 85-55 win over Creighton was no exception.

The Bears shut down the Bluejays, holding them to 20 first-half points while stifling the leading scorer in Division I, Doug McDermott. McDermott’s 27-point average led the nation in 2013-14, but Baylor held him to three first-half points and 15 overall, many of them coming when the game was long since decided.

With the emphatic victory, the Bears charge into their third Sweet 16 in five years, where they’ll face Wisconsin.
