Clippers Coach Doc Rivers fined $25,000 by NBA for criticizing refs

Los Angeles Clippers Doc Rivers was not at all happy about his team’s Game 5 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder, saying “we were robbed” after the officials gave the ball to the Thunder on a late out-of-bounds call. The NBA disagreed, saying the refs had no conclusive video evidence to overturn their initial call.

Rivers probably knew that those comments would cost him, and on Thursday the NBA fined him $25,000. He’s making $7 million a year. He’ll live.

Game 6 is Thursday night at 10:30 in Los Angeles (ESPN).
