Brian Orakpo won his appeal, and the $15,750 fine for roughing the passer was reversed.

Redskins linebacker Brian Orakpo won his appeal for the fine leveled against him for a roughing the passer call against the Chicago Bears in Week 7, Coach Mike Shanahan said.

The penalty came on third-and-eight in the third quarter. Orakpo hit backup Bears quarterback Josh McCown just shortly after the passer released the ball on an incomplete pass.

Orakpo and the Redskins argued the call, but the penalty stood, and days later, Orakpo received a fine of $15,750.

Orakpo appealed late last week, learned this week that he had won, and that the fine was reversed.
