NFL draft obsession season can’t truly begin until the NFL combine takes place. Heights, weights, 40 times – for the truly draft-focused, it’s all part of the picture.

With the combine in the books, here are a few resources to help you kill time and build (or refine) a draft wish list between now and the May 8-10 event. Free agency comes first, beginning March 8-11, but with the data from the combine in hand, thoughts about the draft are top of mind.

The Web site draftbreakdown.com is home to positional rankings and charts with combine times and measurables, but the database of YouTube videos are what sets it apart. It’s one thing to read about, say, linebacker Shayne Skov, and it’s quite another to watch cutups of a handful of his games.

Insider commenter favorite mockdraftable.com is updating for 2014 with the new combine info, meaning spider charts on some of the top prospects are available. Hey, where else can you find out that Marko Mitchell and Kelvin Benjamin are combine comparables, as are Justin McCareins and Allen Robinson, and Logan Thomas and Rob Gronkowski?

Mock drafts still might not mean much, but if you enjoy them, there’s the Redskins-themed database of any and every mock, at HailRedskins.com. It comes in handy when your first pick is No. 34 (and try not to think about how appealing No. 2 is after DE Jadeveon Clowney ran a 4.47 40) and you need to get familiar with the players projected to go at the top of Round 2.

The Fanspeak mock draft simulator, mentioned in this space plenty previously, is always a good way to play around with your newfound draft knowledge, and play the role of the Redskins GM.

Armed with the news coming out of the combine, you can now kill time until free agency news picks up with these draft tools. Enjoy.
