It has been only two weeks since Beyonce's most recent -- and most thoroughly dissected -- D.C. appearance, but the superstar is already planning her return. Fresh off a properly stunning performance at the Super Bowl Sunday night in New Orleans, Bey announced dates for the Mrs. Carter Show World Tour, including a show at the Verizon Center on July 29.

Tickets start at $48 and the presale begins Friday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster, with a general on-sale date of Feb. 11 at 10 a.m.

Alex Baldinger is editor of the Going Out Guide blog, which covers food, drink, arts, music, events and other curiosities in the D.C. area. He is forever in search of a great sandwich.
