Photos: Inside Daikaya’s ramen bar before it opens Feb. 14

After two long years, the ramen restaurant at Daikaya is finally opening Thursday night at  705 Sixth St. NW in Chinatown.

Before the ground level opens to diners at 5 p.m. (a date hasn't been announced for the izakaya upstairs), here's a quick look at the touches inside, including an open kitchen where diners can watch their noodles being cooked and assembled. The 40-seat space  will serve four kinds of ramen — miso, shio (salt), shoyu (soy) and vegan.

Stools circle the open kitchen at the new Daikaya. The sign above the kitchen reads "Welcome to Daikaya. Welcome." (Lavanya Ramanathan/The Washington Post)
