The Going Out Guide has a new look

We made a few cosmetic changes to the Going Out Guide in the past few days that we want to make you aware of. The biggest difference? The Going Out Guide Blog is the first thing you'll see on, which puts all of our newest, most up-to-date stories about what to see, do, eat and drink in the D.C. area front and center, much easier to find than before.

The engine under the GOG hood is our events database, and that's still here too. The What to do in D.C. hub, located below the most recent story, has links to everything happening in the days ahead. You can enter a specific event you're looking for in the search box, or browse everything by category, date or neighborhood. It's a much neater, simpler look than we had before. Check it out and let us know what you think.

Alex Baldinger is editor of the Going Out Guide blog, which covers food, drink, arts, music, events and other curiosities in the D.C. area. He is forever in search of a great sandwich.
