Rising post-punkers Savages add a D.C. date

Few bands manage to garner the sort of fanatic critical response that the British all-female post-punk band Savages has received the past year. (Admittedly, not all agree that the attention is deserved.)

The foursome's fierce shows are kicking up serious dust stateside (and their icy, somewhat autocratic stage presence is winning more than a few comparisons to Fugazi), so it didn't take long for fans and the curious to snap up every last ticket to the Rock & Roll Hotel's July 13 Savages show when tickets went on sale this spring.

If you didn't get tickets, here's another chance: The 9:30 club has announced that the band will play the venue Sept. 10. Tickets are $20. Get them here or at the 9:30 club box office.
