Here’s the full lineup for the Bentzen Ball Comedy Festival

The D.C.-born Bentzen Ball Comedy Festival returns Oct. 10-13 with a full schedule of eight shows, which were announced Tuesday. Conventional stand-up figures prominently in the mix, but the fest is also staking out new terrain with lineup spots devoted to musical comedy, improv and podcast tapings.

The festival's organizers, Brightest Young Things, promise there might be the odd party or taping added to the lineup, but the list of comics released today should be enough to pique your interest now.

Who's confirmed? "Saturday Night Live" and "30 Rock" star Rachel Dratch performs in an improv showcase Oct. 12 at U Street Music Hall; Megan Mullaly of "Will & Grace," whose music duo Nancy & Beth is on the bill for the Bentzen Ball Music Revue! Oct. 12 at the Lincoln Theatre; and Nick Kroll of "The League," who performs one of the festival's stand-up showcases at the Lincoln earlier on Oct. 12.

Also on the bill are a couple of D.C.'s top comedy talents, Seaton Smith and Brandon Wardell. Kicking things off is Tig Notaro, the festival's curator, who will perform opening night, while "This American Life" host Ira Glass anchors the festival's "closing ceremonies" at the Lincoln on Oct. 13.
