A combined market, restaurant and bar, Menu is De Pue's second attempt at filling the former America Eats Tavern and Cafe Atlantico space at 405 Eighth St. NW; the seafood-focused Azur closed in September after less than a year.

The three-course Menu preview includes roasted carrots, pork shoulder and pheasant roulade for $45 per person, with an optional $25 beer pairing. Check out the full menu here.

Menu is scheduled to open in January, but the Penn Quarter space will host a one-day Christmas market Dec. 19 from 4 3 to 7 p.m. No word on specific items for sale, but expect samples from Menu's forthcoming kitchen. De Pue recently hired pastry chef Jason Gehring, formerly of Astro Doughnuts & Fried Chicken, to run the dessert operation at Menu and Table.
