Brave enough to get outside today? Kids on yet another snow day? Here's an idea: take them ice skating.

The Silver Spring Ice Skating at Veterans PlazaPentagon Row outdoor ice skating rink and Rockville Town Square ice rink are all open for business despite the snow. The Reston Town Center Pavilion ice rink and Canal Park  in Southeast both plan to open later this afternoon.

The Washington Harbour ice rink and the rink at the National Gallery of Art are closed.
