Today is National Pancake Day at IHOP

(Torin Halsey/AP)

Free pancakes? Free pancakes. Head to the International House of Pancakes until 10 p.m. for a free short stack. (It's also Shrove Tuesday, a popular pancake holiday for those celebrating.)

In lieu of paying for the pancakes, IHOP asks that you make a donation to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. IHOP has 48 locations within 20 miles of Washington, including Columbia Heights, Arlington and Rockville.

(Of course, you can always make these pancakes from scratch.)
