The Hawaii Department of Transportation released a video Tuesday showing the teen who hitched a ride from San Jose to Maui, Hawaii, on April 20 aboard a Hawaiian Airlines jet.

In the surveillance video, a boy the department said appears to be 15-year-old Yahya Abdi can be seen emerging from the wheel well of a jet and stumbling across the tarmac at Kahului Airport.

Abdi survived more than five hours on the flight with temperatures well-below freezing and very low levels of oxygen. He has since returned to California, and San Jose police say he is in the custody of child protective services, according to the Associated Press.
