Nationals-Phillies lineups: Game 161

Bryce Harper Alex Brandon/AP

After clinching their first division title, the Nationals are turning to their backups to play the Phillies in their penultimate game of the season. Bryce Harper, two home runs away from tying the teenage record in a season, and Adam LaRoche, one RBI away from 100 for the season, are the only regulars in the lineup. Concerned more about resting some of his regulars than the National League’s top seed, Manager Davey Johnson said he is holding starter Tom Gorzelanny to a 65 pitch limit, or roughly three or four innings. Mark DeRosa last started at shortstop on Sept. 2, 2006 for the Texas Rangers.
