Bryce Harper is starting in left field and hitting second despite a tight left quad. He left during the seventh inning of Monday’s game because of it but said afterward that it was minor and that he had been playing with it for a few games. Nate McLouth, who tweaked his knee before Sunday’s game, is back in the starting lineup.

Sandy Leon is starting his fourth time in six games over Jose Lobaton, the primary back-up catcher. Manager Matt Williams said Lobaton took a beating behind the plate in Atlanta but didn’t indicate that he was injured. After sitting against a left-handed starter, Adam LaRoche is back in the starting lineup.
