Women’s aerials final jumps: Cooks advances but falls, Caldwell out [updates]

Ashley Caldwell, a two-time Olympian and Loudoun County native, and Emily Cook failed to medal in women’s aerials.

The finals consisted of three jumps and the field shrunk after each jump. Caldwell did not advance past the first jump (finishing 10th). Cook didn’t advance past the second (finishing 8th).  There were 12 aerialists in the first round of the finals. The top eight jumped again. And then only four contended for a medal.
