Romney to Indiana, then back to Tampa

Mitt Romney was preparing to leave Tampa for Indianapolis late this morning. He'll address the American Legion national convention this afternoon in the Hoosier State, then return to Tampa to watch running mate Paul Ryan's speech, according to a campaign pool report.

Romney spokesman Rick Gorka said he does not know whether Romney will head over to the convention, but will offer guidance, the pool report said.

Sean Sullivan has covered national politics for The Washington Post since 2012.
