Staples founder: Obama doesn’t get it

Tom Stemberg's speech at the Republican National Convention can be boiled down to this: President Obama doesn't get it, Mitt Romney does.

The co-founder of the office supply product store chain Staples, used his speech to defend Romney's tenure at Bain Capital and denounce Democratic attacks against it.

"President Obama and his friends just don't get it," was the refrain Stemberg offered several times.

Who is a better candidate for president, Stemberg asked? "Someone who knows how to save a dollar or pens and paper, or somene who knows how to waste $535 million on Solyndra?"

A website the Romney campaign launched Thursday to tout the Republican's tenure at Bain includes a couple of videos highlighting the work Romney did for Staples.
