Emanuel's office confirms to me that he's stepping down from superPAC fundraising for the moment.

The Fix wrote earlier today that Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, who just joined the fundraising effort for the pro-Obama super PAC Priorities USA Action, would probably not have much time for donor-courting during his city's teachers' strike:
While we know Rahm is a gifted multi-tasker, it’s hard to imagine that with the biggest — and most consequential – fight of his mayorship now joined that he is going to find much time to court the massive donors the party needs to write massive checks as soon as possible.
And in fact, Emanuel's fundraising efforts are now on hold.
“The Mayor’s first priority is the residents of the City of Chicago," said Thomas Bowen, the head of Emanuel's political operation. "He is committed to reelecting the President, but he must focus on his job as Mayor right now.”
