Florida GOP dumping voter registration firm

The Palm Beach Post reports that the Republican Party of Florida has fired a Glen Allen, Va.-based firm it had paid to oversee its voter registration efforts after election officials in Palm Beach County noticed 106 "questionable" applications this month.

[Palm Beach County Elections Supervisor Susan] Bucher asked the state attorney’s office to review the applications “in an abundance of caution” because she said her staff had questions about similar-looking signatures, missing information and wrong addresses on the forms.

The firm, Strategic Allied Consultants, was paid $1.3 million by the Florida Republican party.

The firm did not immediately return a request for comment.
