Debate Prep: Karen Tumulty’s tips for Biden and Ryan

Karen Tumulty offered some debate tips last week for Mitt Romney and President Obama. Now she has some advice for Vice President Biden and Rep. Paul Ryan as they step off the bench for their debate Thursday night.

The veteran debater Biden, Tumulty says, should remember that humor goes a long way -- especially if he can laugh at his own expense. He's given us plenty of fodder for jokes, after all.

And Ryan, a newcomer to presidential debates, should embrace the wonky persona he has cultivated as the House Budget Committee chairman.
