Obama dines with campaign contest winners on H Street

(The Associated Press)

President Obama showed off D.C.'s newest entertainment corridor to six out of town guests Friday night, when he took winners of a campaign contest to dinner on H Street.  The president and his guests ate at Smith Commons Dining Room and Public House.

Throughout the year, the campaign has encouraged small, online donors by offering chances to win dinner with Obama. Friday's guests just happened to be from three battleground states that Obama hopes to win 25 days from now: Kimberley Cathey of Greensboro, N.C., and her husband, Ron; Mario Orosa of North Canton, Ohio, and his wife, Deidra; and Joe Laliberte of Colorado Springs, Colo., and his mother, Patti.
