Romney’s test score brag

Romney twice referred to the fact that when he was governor, Massachusetts students led the nation in standardized test scores for math and reading. That's correct. But the state was heading in that direction before Romney became governor in 2003 and has remain top-ranked since then. Most observers in Massachusetts credit the top scores to a comprehensive education overhaul that the state began a decade before Romney became governor.
