Washington approves marijuana legalization

The state of Washington approved the legalization of marijuana at the polls on Tuesday. Known as Initiative 502, the measure legalizes marijuana production, possession and distribution for individuals 21 and older and includes a stipulation that motorists cannot have more than 5 nanograms of THC per milliliter of blood in their system.

Colorado also approved a marijuana legalization measure Tuesday.
