Speaker Boehner lights the Capitol Christmas Tree (video)

House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) lit the Capitol Christmas Tree early Tuesday evening with the help of Ryan Shuster, an Eagle Scout from Colorado Springs, Colo.

Boehner gave Shuster a sartorial lesson he's unlikely to forget as he approached the podium for the lighting.

"Now here, button your coat, come on!" Boehner said to the suit-clad teen. "Ryan, pictures last forever, OK?" This year's tree is a a 65-foot Englemann Spruce from White River National Forest in Colorado.  Former Sen. Ben Nighthorse Campbell (D-Colo.) rented a Mack Truck to drive the tree from Colorado to Washington.
