George H.W. Bush is still hospitalized

George H.W. Bush is still recovering at a Houston hospital and there is no timeline for his release, a spokesman for the former president said Monday.

Bush has been in Methodist Hospital since Nov. 23, when he was admitted with a severe cough. The 88-year-old was originally hoping to leave the hospital by Christmas. Instead, he was moved into intensive care for several days in late December due to a rising fever; he left the ICU on Dec. 29.

Bush has "in recent days he has taken great pride watching big football wins by Texas A&M and the Houston Texans," spokesman Jim McGrath said.
