Former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.) and her husband, former astronaut Mark Kelly, are seated high above the House chamber with other invited guests. They are up to President Obama's left (screen right) in a section next to the First Lady's box.

To give you a sense of the way invited guests are squeezed in together tonight, Richard Cordray, head of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, is seated a few seats down from Giffords and Kelly.
