Obama and Biden release tax returns

The White House has released the 2012 tax returns filed recently by President Obama and Vice President Biden.

Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama made a combined $662,000 in 2012 -- $395,000 from the president's salary and $259,000 from other sources (mostly the president's books). The Obamas' income was down from $790,000 in 2011.

The Bidens, meanwhile, brought in $385,000, with $308,000 coming from salaries and much of the rest coming from Social Security and pensions.

The Post's Philip Rucker has the whole story here. Below are images of the returns.
