Hillary Clinton using Twitter at last

Hillary Clinton has made her Twitter debut. Weeks after establishing an account, her first tweet:

She's thanking Adam Smith and Stacy Lambe -- the creators of "Texts from Hillary."

As In the Loop explained, "Clinton has been notably absent from Twitter, though there’s a huge demand for her 140-character musings — the Loop noted last year that 44,000 people were following @HRClinton, although the account hadn’t posted once. (That account was unofficial and has apparently since been suspended.)"

Why now? One possible reason: the former secretary of state is speaking at the Clinton Global Initiative America event in Chicago on Thursday. The conference is domestic policy focused; she may be preparing to address those issues for the first time since she entered the Obama administration.
