President Obama is healthy and occasionally uses nicotine gum, doc says

The White House released President Obama's annual physical exam Thursday, and things are looking pretty good for the 52-year-old commander in chief.

President Obama is 6'1'' and weighs 180 pounds. His blood pressure is a normal 112/70, and he has 20/20 vision without glasses.

According to the report from physician Ronny L. Jackson, Obama's physical took place last month. The president has clear lungs, a normal heart rate and a regular rhythm. An exam of his gastrointestinal system was normal, as was a check of his head, ears and nose.

The president does have some benign skin tags on his neck and "intermittent plantar fasciitis," an inflammation of a thick band of tissue in the foot. It's common in runners. The president also has a borderline high cholesterol count of 213 mg/dL and a slight vitamin D deficiency.

"The President continues to focus on healthy lifestyle choices," Jackson wrote. "He eats a healthy diet, exercises daily, remains tobacco free, and only drinks alcohol occasionally and in moderation."

He's apparently  not completely nicotine-free; the report said Obama occasionally chews nicotine gum.
