Rep. Gary Peters (D-Mich.) raised nearly $2 million for his U.S. Senate campaign between April and June, his campaign told Post Politics, marking his best fundraising quarter so far.

Peters raised $1.96 million. His campaign said two-thirds of his haul came from contributions under $25.

Peters is likely to face former secretary of state Terri Lynn Land (R) in the general election. Land has not released her second-quarter fundraising totals. She had about $4.4 million in her campaign account at the end of March.

The Peters campaign did not say how much money the congressman had on hand at the end of June. He had about $3.5 million at the end of March.
