Paul VI Catholic junior forward Ariana Freeman, a first-team all-WCAC choice who committed early to West Virginia, has reopened her recruitment.

Freeman this weekend plans to visit Louisville, a school that offered her last year, and also is interested in Tennessee, Penn State, Syracuse and Kentucky.

“There were just a few schools that I didn’t have the opportunity to visit before I committed to WVU and I wanted to see,” Freeman said in a text message Wednesday morning. “Want to make sure I check out all my options. Deciding what college to go to is a big decision, and I might have rushed into it a little too soon.”

Freeman led No. 5 Paul VI (29-4) in scoring and rebounding this season. She will be the only returning first-team all-conference player in the WCAC next season.
