With just two rounds remaining in Virginia’s high school baseball season, the postseason awards are being released at a rapid pace. Through the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper, Louisville Slugger released its high school all-American team.

First-team pitcher selections included Stone Bridge senior right-hander JB Bukauskas and Reservoir junior right-hander Cody Morris. Bukauskas, a North Carolina signee, went 7-0 with 88 strikeouts and drew the attention of MLB scouts with a fastball that touched 100 mph. Bukauskas will be in action as a hitter for the No. 1 Bulldogs on Saturday in the Virginia 5A state semifinals at Lake Braddock, but he has been shut down as a pitcher for the season.

Morris, a South Carolina signee, won a Maryland 3A state title with the Gators and posted a 0.80 ERA. Morris is spending his summer with the Evoshield Canes 17U National team that is ranked No. 1 in the country by Perfect Game.

St. John’s SS/RHP AJ Lee was the other junior selected on the team, Lee earned second-team honors in the multi-position athlete category. Lee helped the third-ranked Cadets claim the WCAC and D.C. State Athletic Association titles. The Maryland verbal commit hit .471 and held a 1.14 ERA on the mound. Find the full team list here.
