Clint Dempsey’s challenge to Eddie Johnson: Stay off Twitter and Instagram for a week


Eddie Johnson got himself into trouble with D.C. United and the club’s supporters this week with social media missteps. Johnson apologized to the fans — online and through traditional media — and promised to be more careful on Twitter. Johnson’s former Seattle and U.S. teammate, Clint Dempsey, wants him to stick to that pledge. In accepting an ALS ice-shower challenge Thursday, the World Cup star posted this video:
