Maryland football sets game times for James Madison, West Virginia

The Maryland football team’s season opener against visiting James Madison, scheduled for Aug. 30, will kick off at 3:30 p.m., the school announced Wednesday in a news release. The school also announced that the team’s third game, Sept. 13 vs. West Virginia at Byrd Stadium, will begin at noon. Both those games will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network.

Here’s how the 2014 schedule now looks, with televsion information in parentheses:

Aug. 30: James Madison, 3:30 p.m. (Big Ten Network)

Sept. 6: at South Florida, 3:30 p.m. (CBS Sports Network)

Sept. 13: West Virginia, noon (Big Ten Network)

Sept. 20: at Syracuse, TBA

Sept. 27: at Indiana, TBA

Oct. 4: Ohio State, TBA

Oct. 18: Iowa, noon (ESPN, ABC or Big Ten Network)

Oct. 25: at Wisconsin, noon (ESPN, ABC or Big Ten Network)

Nov. 1: at Penn State, TBA

Nov. 15: Michigan State, 8 p.m. (Big Ten Network)

Nov. 22: at Michigan, TBA

Nov. 29: Rutgers, TBA
