The Fix heads to Charlotte!

Posting will be a bit light today as we (re)pack our bags for Charlotte, North Carolina and the Democratic National Convention.

In the meantime, make sure to check out Dan Balz's piece on why President Obama couldn't fulfill the promise of his campaign, Amy Gardner on the "you didn't build it" attacks and Jo Becker's profile of White House adviser Valerie Jarrett. And, oh yeah, the chairman of the California Democratic Party comparing Republicans to Joseph Goebbels. So, that happened.

Also, if you have food and/or fancy coffee recommendations for Charlotte, we welcome them in the comments section. A journalist has to eat and drink, after all.

Chris Cillizza writes “The Fix,” a politics blog for the Washington Post. He also covers the White House.
