Stephen Colbert assesses the GOP’s electoral vote gambit (video)

Last week, we wrote about the GOP push in some of the states that President Obama won to award electoral votes by congressional district in future presidential elections. Such a move would give Republicans a better chance of winning those elections. Comedy Central's Stephen Colbert weighed in on Tuesday's "Colbert Report":

"It's a win-win," Colbert said in his regular segment, "The Word."

"Except for the guy who won," said the text on screen as Colbert spoke.

Colbert concluded: "I say do it Republicans. ... You must listen to these voters, and then make sure that they cannot be heard on Election Day."
