WHAT YOU MIGHT HAVE MISSED:

AP drops "illegal immigrant": The Associated Press will no longer include the term "illegal immigrant" in its stylebook, which serves as a guide for many newspapers and schools. It's a victory for immigration reform advocates who've argued that the term is unfair.

Cassidy announces Senate bid: Rep. Bill Cassidy (R-La.) will release a video Wednesday announcing that he is challenging Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-La.). Cassidy's decision is not a surprise. He's hired well-known consultants and has been raising money at a pace that could scare away other potential GOP candidates.

Colbert for Colbert Busch: Faux-conservative commentator Stephen Colbert will raise money for his sister at least a couple more times in her bid to win South Carolina's 1st district special election. Colbert will host high-dollar fundraisers for Democratic nominee Elizabeth Colbert Busch in Washington on April 15 and in New York City on April 23. Meanwhile, Colbert Busch will find out who her GOP opponent is after today's Republican runoff, which former governor Mark Sanford is widely expected to win. We'll have results over on Post Politics this evening. Polls close at 7 p.m. ET.

Poll shows trouble for Jindal: Is President Obama more popular than Gov. Bobby Jindal (R) in Louisiana? According to one poll, he is. Obama's approval rating is 43 percent in a Southern Media and Opinion Research survey. Jindal's is 38 percent. The poll was funded by a GOP donor.

Obama staying out of Los Anegeles mayoral race: The president will not offer an endorsement in the runoff mayoral campaign in Los Angeles between City Councilman Eric Garcetti and City Controller Wendy Greuel.

Cruz headed to South Carolina: Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) will deliver the keynote address at the South Carolina GOP’s Silver Elephant Dinner on May 3. The event is sure to further stoke the presidential buzz that has already surrounded the conservative freshman senator.
