Cory Booker is going to win. But that doesn’t mean he’s run a good campaign.

A new Quinnipiac University poll out Wednesday confirms that Newark Mayor Cory Booker is a heavy favorite to win the the New Jersey Senate special election in a week's time.

But, simply because Booker will beat Bogota Mayor Steve Lonegan (R) next Wednesday -- yes, the election is on a Wednesday -- doesn't mean he has acquitted himself well in this campaign. He hasn't. (Just ask Maggie Haberman of Politico or Michael Barbaro of the New York Times.)
