House Republicans’ shifting demands to fund the government — in one chart

The list of House GOP demands for funding the federal government has been constantly shifting.

While their proposals have mostly been rooted in taking aim at Obamacare, their specific demands have changed every time the Democratic-controlled Senate has rebuffed them.

So, what specifically have House Republicans been asking for? Thanks to a handy chart from the Post's graphics team, you can track all of their asks -- from defunding the health-care in late September to simply wanting to chat with Democrats now.

As the House GOP tweaked and re-tweaked it's demands, Democrats have largely held firm in their demand for a clean bill to fund the government. President Obama hasn't budged and neither has Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.).

The question moving forward is at once simple and incredibly complex: What can both sides agree on? The urgency of the question will only grow with every new day of the shutdown.
