I was trying to find the contact information for the California income tax agency (the Franchise Tax Board), and here’s what I saw on one of the pages:
You tell me what you think about this. (I should say, by the way, that the times that I’ve called the Franchise Tax Board, I’ve gotten prompt and helpful service, and I’ve generally had no problems with the agency; it’s just the picture that struck me.)
