The Insiders: CNN’s powerful coverage of the Perry indictment

Anyway, CNN’s coverage of the whole affair exposes what a farce the indictment is and makes plain why the charges against Perry should be summarily dismissed.  I’m sure CNN didn’t mean to, but the segment also sheds light on how the Democrats would govern if they are ever in power in Texas. After all, prior to her arrest, Lehmberg was widely regarded as the most powerful Democrat in Texas.

The harm the indictment saga has done to the Democratic Party of Texas — weak as it is already — has gone underreported.  But at the risk of repeating myself, there is no doubt that the indictment has contributed to Perry’s resurrection and rehabilitation on the national stage.
