Regarding the Dec. 9 Magazine article “A matter of conviction”:
What possible reason can there be for The Post’s inappropriate and irrelevant references to federal prosecutor Brian Murtagh’s size, style and manner? This nation should honor dedicated civil servants such as Murtagh, whose career commitment to public service is far more admirable than if he had dedicated himself to the corporate buck. He has earned great credit for his pursuit of the Jeffrey MacDonald and Pan Am Flight 103 cases. And he deserves an apology for the pointless snide comments that appear throughout this otherwise fine article.
