Metrobus’s unreliable service along 16th Street NW during the District’s “second evening rush” is a disgrace [“Along 16th St., an off-hours rush hour,” Metro, July 21]. If there’s anything Metro should be about, it’s getting service workers to and from their jobs in a timely manner. No group relies more on public transportation.
Metrobus officials claim planners are working on the problems. Here’s a plan that should take about five minutes to execute: Assign more buses to 16th Street during the hours of peak use mentioned in the article (7 p.m. to 4 a.m.).
