With all of the pundits lining up on either side of Paul Ryan’s budgetary ideology, with their predictions that this transformative pick will shift the focus of the campaign onto fiscal and budgetary matters, why is it surprising that I have not seen anyone focus on the swinging-est interest group in American politics: American Catholics?
With President Obama’s missteps with respect to the Affordable Care Act, and with many Catholics now perceiving the administration as, at best, blasé, and at worst, dismissive, of their vote, how could Mitt Romney possibly afford to ignore that potential gold mine of swing voters?
