My husband and I are saddened by the news that Maryland will now have another casino [“MGM hits the jackpot: Md.’s last casino license,” front page, Dec. 21]. What an eyesore for the state and the Washington area.
The Post called plans for MGM National Harbor casino “a bit of Las Vegas on the Potomac.” How anyone would think of that as a plus is beyond me. Gambling is not a good way to raise revenue.
Our only consolation is that we won’t ever have to see any of the casinos, as we live in Chevy Chase, and we will never go near or support any of them.
