I was relieved to infer from the front page of the Aug. 5 Outlook section that most of the major issues confronting the nation and the world had been solved. It was comforting and right that The Post felt it could now make available to its readers fully half of the page for an article headlined “Time to let Teddy win.” Nationals fans have long looked on in anguish as our rough-riding hero has been victimized in one way or another from winning the Presidents Race at Nationals Park. Now that the country’s other problems have apparently been solved, The Post correctly divined that it was time to turn its attention to one of the few remaining pressing issues, the inability of Teddy Roosevelt to win. I say, “Bully.”
